Recognising an advanced word is different from using it naturally. Vocabulary Trainer begins with your Cambridge target and an optional 12-word check, then builds a B2, C1, or C2 learning track. Short exercises move each word through meaning, natural collocation, word form, controlled sentence use, free production, and paragraph transfer. Feedback checks whether the meaning fits and whether the word partners sound natural. Successful words return after 1, 3, 7, 14, and 30 days, when retrieval is useful again. Your profile records four stages—Recognise, Recall, Use, and Natural use. The starting level is not an exam score, and the track is not an official CEFR conversion. This practical sequence turns useful vocabulary into language you can retrieve in a Cambridge writing task.
